Description
Suppressor alignment is one of those steps that is easy to skip and costly to ignore. Before a suppressor sees its first round, verifying that the bore, muzzle device, and suppressor are all concentric with the bullet’s path is the only way to confirm the assembly is safe to fire. A misaligned stack does not fail gracefully — baffle strikes can destroy the suppressor and damage the host firearm in the same shot.
The HUXWRX Alignment Rod gives you a direct mechanical check of that alignment. The rod is manufactured from carbon fiber, which keeps it light and stiff without the flex that could introduce a false reading. A bright green tip at the muzzle end makes it immediately clear whether the rod is centered or canted as it passes through the suppressor bore. HUXWRX manufactures the rod to a straightness tolerance of .003″, meaning any deviation you observe during the check is in the assembly, not the tool. At 17 inches, the rod has enough length to extend through a suppressor mounted on a full-length rifle barrel and still be readable at the muzzle end.
This is a tool for anyone building a suppressed host, verifying a new muzzle device, or troubleshooting a setup after components have been swapped. It is straightforward to use, requires no special equipment, and takes only a minute to confirm what would otherwise be impossible to see without pulling the host firearm apart. Catching a misalignment at this stage costs nothing. Catching it after the first shot costs significantly more.
