Before you fire the first round through a suppressed host, you need to know that the bore, adapter, and suppressor are all running on the same axis. Any misalignment along that path puts the bullet dangerously close to the suppressor’s baffles — and a baffle strike at velocity causes real damage, not just inaccuracy. SureFire’s Bore Alignment Rod for 6.5mm calibers is the tool that answers that question definitively before it becomes a problem.

The rod is machined from heat-treated stainless steel and sized to the 6.5mm bore. The procedure is straightforward: with the weapon unloaded, mount your suppressor as you normally would, then insert the rod through the suppressor from the muzzle end. If the system is properly concentric, you’ll see even space between the rod and the suppressor bore all the way around. Any deviation tells you exactly what needs correcting — whether that’s a thread adapter that isn’t seated square, a mount that’s torqued off-axis, or a muzzle device that needs to be indexed differently.
