Description

The HUXWRX Stiction Lock Comp is a muzzle compensator built for 9mm pistols and carbines running a suppressor-ready host. Its M13.5×1 left-hand thread pattern is the standard found on many threaded 9mm barrels, and the left-hand orientation means the device tightens as it recoils against the suppressor it is designed to accept — rather than walking loose under sustained fire. That threading geometry is the core of what HUXWRX calls Stiction Lock: the compensator functions as a standalone muzzle device but also serves as a mounting interface that resists back-out without requiring a separate lock nut or additional tooling.

Running a comp on a 9mm host matters most when round count is high — competition stages, training strings, or any context where muzzle rise compounds across multiple shots. A compensator redirects propellant gas upward at the moment the bullet exits, counteracting muzzle flip and allowing faster reacquisition of the sight picture between shots. The trade-off relative to a bare threaded barrel or a simple thread protector is added length and, in this case, the additional role of a suppressor mounting point.

HUXWRX manufactures the Stiction Lock Comp in a black finish. At roughly a tenth of a pound it adds minimal weight to the host firearm, which keeps the balance point from shifting noticeably forward. Shooters who already own a compatible HUXWRX suppressor will find this a practical way to run the host standalone without pulling the threading out of service.
