Description
The Icarus Precision A.C.E. B-ACE base pads are designed for shooters who have already committed to the P365XL platform and want to finish an Icarus build with hardware that belongs there. These are the “XL” variant, sized to complement the longer grip frame of the P365XL rather than the standard P365, and they ship as a two-pack so you can outfit more than one magazine at once.
Each pad is CNC machined from billet aluminum, which does two things a polymer replacement cannot: it adds meaningful weight low on the pistol, shifting the balance point downward and helping to settle the gun during recoil, and it provides the surface hardness and dimensional consistency that close-tolerance machining demands. The anodized finish ties the pads visually to other Icarus aluminum components, so a complete Icarus module build reads as a unified piece of work rather than a collection of mismatched parts.
Beyond aesthetics and weight distribution, the extended profile gives you more grip real estate and slightly changes the geometry at the base of the magazine, which affects how cleanly the magazine seats and strips during a reload. For a compact carry gun where reloads matter, that difference in purchase and positive seating is worth considering. These are not a drop-in cosmetic upgrade so much as a functional component in an integrated system — they make the most sense if you are running an Icarus grip module or building toward one.
