Description

The Radian Weapons ANCHOR + MAGWELL for the Glock 43X and 48 addresses two common problems with slim-frame Glocks: a grip that runs out of real estate quickly and a magazine well that punishes anything less than a perfect reload. The system approaches both issues together rather than treating them as separate accessories.

The ANCHOR itself is the foundation. A tapered screw drives Radian’s patented PLANAR-LOK™ mechanism outward, causing barbed teeth to engage the interior sidewalls of the frame. That outward clamping force is intentional — by resisting inward wall flex, it prevents the frame from squeezing against the magazine during insertion, which is the primary cause of mag bind when running higher-capacity flush or extended magazines in a narrow frame. No adhesive, no permanent modification.

The MAGWELL dovetails into the rear of the ANCHOR while a tooth engages the front of the frame. Radian’s patented ANGLE-LOK® detent then drives the magwell rearward to complete a three-point lockup between anchor, magwell, and frame. The result is a unit that doesn’t shift or rotate under recoil or reholstering pressure. The flared opening itself gives a meaningful funnel for index-and-drop reloads, which matters most under time pressure or with a compromised grip hand.

The entire assembly is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and finished in hard coat anodize — the same Black Anodized treatment Radian uses across its product line. Installation hardware is included in the box: an anchor screw, 3/32″ Allen key, retention stud, retention stud spring, and the purpose-made retention stud tool. No separate tool kit required.
