Description
The INFORCE WMLx White/IR Gen 3 in Flat Dark Earth is built for shooters who operate across both visible and infrared spectrums — whether that means conventional low-light work or pairing the light with night-vision equipment. The dual-output design means a single unit handles both roles without requiring a separate IR illuminator mounted alongside a white-light source, which keeps the weapon’s overall weight and rail footprint manageable.
At 1,100 lumens, the white output is calibrated for disorientation at close range while still throwing enough light to be genuinely useful at rifle distances. The IR mode gives NVG users an active illuminator that extends their effective range beyond what passive ambient-light amplification alone provides, particularly indoors or in heavily overcast conditions where a night-vision device would otherwise be starved for photons.
The Gen 3 designation reflects iterative refinement of the switch layout and output levels relative to earlier WMLx generations. The ambidextrous paddle switch allows momentary or constant activation from either side of the weapon without changing grip, which matters when support-hand access to the light is the only option in a retention position. The Flat Dark Earth finish on the body integrates with common earth-tone weapon builds without requiring additional wrapping or tape.
The WMLx is sized for rifles and carbines rather than pistols, and the mounting system is designed to index directly to a rail section without tools, keeping the light in consistent position shot to shot. It runs on a single CR123A cell, which keeps the light compact relative to dual-battery alternatives and ensures the battery format is widely available.
