Description
The G2ZX CombatLight is a dedicated handgun light built around a single task: giving a shooter a secure, consistent grip under stress. The mid-section and rubber grip ring are shaped specifically for the Rogers/SureFire technique, a two-handed hold where the light is clamped between the fingers rather than palmed conventionally. That grip geometry keeps the light stable when drawing, reloading, or working a malfunction one-handed, which is why the design is oriented toward defensive and duty use rather than general-purpose carry.
The 600-lumen output comes from an LED that SureFire routes through a micro-textured polycarbonate reflector. The texture scatters light in a way that blends the hot center into the surrounding field, so you get useful reach without a harsh ring around the target area. At 8,700 candela peak beam intensity, it throws far enough for most indoor and short-range outdoor engagements. Heat from the LED is drawn away by the aluminum bezel rather than building up in the polymer body, which matters for runtime reliability over the 1.5-hour rated burn.
The tailcap switch gives you momentary-on by pressing and constant-on by twisting — a layout that keeps the light off by default and reduces the chance of an accidental activation during reholstering. The body pairs a polymer tube with a Mil-Spec hard-anodized aluminum bezel, balancing weight and durability. O-ring and gasket sealing handles rain and wet-hand use. An included paracord lanyard loops around the wrist to support the two-handed reload without losing control of the light.
