Description

The KAK Industry Plan B A2 Flash Hider is built for shooters who want a capable standalone muzzle device that can also serve as a mounting interface for compatible Plan B suppressor hubs. That dual-purpose design is what separates it from a conventional A2 birdcage: the rear of the device incorporates a taper ahead of the threads, which creates a repeatable, self-centering lockup each time a suppressor hub is attached. That matters because inconsistent indexing between a muzzle device and a suppressor can affect point-of-impact shift — the taper geometry addresses that mechanically rather than leaving it to torque alone.

The body is machined from 17-4 stainless steel, a grade chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to the sustained heat and combustion byproducts that muzzle devices deal with in continuous use. A nitride finish over the stainless adds a hard, corrosion-resistant surface layer without meaningfully changing the dimensions. Milled rear flats sized for a 13/16-inch wrench make installation straightforward, and KAK recommends Rocksett adhesive with 20–25 ft-lbs of torque to keep the device seated under firing conditions. Overall length comes in at 1.850 inches with a weight of 2.5 oz — trim enough to avoid disturbing the balance of a shorter build. The .375-inch bore on this 1/2×28 variant accommodates cartridges from .223/5.56 through 9mm, making it practical across pistol-caliber carbines as well as standard AR configurations running the same thread pitch.
