Description

The KAK Industry Plan B Universal Muzzle Device is built for shooters who run a suppressor and want a mounting system that stays put shot after shot. The core engineering decision here is the taper that precedes the threads: rather than relying on a flat-face or crush-washer lockup, the tapered geometry pulls the suppressor adapter into a consistent, repeatable position each time it seats. That matters because any movement between the muzzle device and the adapter during remounting introduces a point-of-impact shift — the taper largely eliminates that variable.

The device is machined from 17-4 stainless steel, a grade chosen for its combination of tensile strength and corrosion resistance, then finished in nitride for additional surface hardness. Milled flats across the body allow a wrench to apply controlled torque during installation; KAK specifies 20–25 ft-lbs with Rocksett, which locks the device against carbon-fouling-induced loosening while remaining removable for cleaning. The thread pitch is engraved directly into the body so there is no ambiguity when mixing components from a multi-caliber safe.

The bore is sized to the minor diameter of the thread for this variant, which means if the device threads onto a given barrel, the projectile will clear the bore. The 1-inch overall length and just over an ounce and a half of added weight keep the balance shift minimal on a standard-length rifle. One practical note: some suppressor manufacturers specify that warranty coverage applies only when their own muzzle devices are used — worth confirming before pairing this with a suppressor still under warranty from another maker.
