Description
The KAK Industry Plan B Universal Muzzle Device is built for shooters who want a reliable, repeatable interface between their .308/7.62 NATO barrel and a Plan B-compatible suppressor mount. Where many muzzle devices are a compromise between function and suppressor compatibility, this one is designed exclusively around that mounting relationship — the precision taper and thread geometry are there to ensure consistent lockup and a proper seal every time the suppressor is attached and removed.
Construction is 17-4 stainless steel with a nitride finish, a combination that resists the thermal cycling and carbon fouling that a muzzle device endures over extended use. The 5/8×24 thread pitch is the standard for .308-class rifles, and the device’s bore is sized to accommodate that cartridge without unnecessary restriction. Milled flats at 13/16 inch allow a wrench to seat cleanly during installation, and KAK engraves the thread pitch directly on the device so there’s no guesswork when sorting through a parts bin. At one inch in overall length and 1.6 ounces, it adds minimal weight and length to the host barrel. KAK machines this part in-house, and the recommended torque range of 20–25 ft-lbs with Rocksett applied gives a defined, repeatable installation standard rather than leaving the shooter to estimate by feel.
This device does not function as a standalone muzzle brake or compensator — its geometry is optimized for suppressor adapter compatibility within the Plan B system, so it’s the right choice when a dedicated mounting solution matters more than a muzzle device that tries to do several things adequately.
