Description

The Lantac SF 15 Patrol is built for the shooter who wants a factory rifle that doesn’t require an immediate trip to the parts bin. It’s a logical choice for serious range work, patrol duty, or defensive use where reliability and controllability matter more than stripped-down weight.

Lantac fits the Patrol with a rifle-length gas system rather than the mid-length setup common on many 16-inch builds. The longer gas tube delays the unlocking impulse slightly, which spreads the recoil event over a longer cycle and reduces the sharp, snappy feel that shorter-gassed carbines can produce — a meaningful difference over a long shooting session or when running fast follow-up shots.

The .223 Wylde chamber is a practical choice: it accepts both .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition while maintaining tighter chamber dimensions than a standard 5.56 NATO spec, which tends to keep groups smaller when shooting commercial .223 loads. The 416R stainless barrel is nitrided for corrosion resistance and wears a 1:7 twist, which stabilizes heavier projectiles — 75- and 77-grain bullets in particular — that some other twist rates handle less consistently.

The Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group, or E-BCG, departs from standard milspec geometry in a few ways. The enlarged, forward-facing gas ports redirect combustion gases away from the shooter’s face during cycling, and the flared carrier tail is designed to reduce play during the bolt’s travel through the upper. Lantac’s patented CP-R360 domed cam pin reduces wear at the cam pin recess — a small detail that adds up over high round counts. The receiver set is forged 7075-T6 aluminum with an internally flared magwell to help guide magazines under stress, and the whole assembly ships with a 30-round Magpul PMAG. External furniture comes from B5 Systems throughout: SOPMOD stock, Type 23 pistol grip, and polymer trigger guard.
