Description
The Grand Power Stribog SP9A1 in Flat Dark Earth is a pistol-caliber carbine built for shooters who want a compact, 9mm platform that handles well at close to moderate distances — whether that’s a home-defense setup, a range carbine, or a competition-oriented build. Its threaded barrel, cut to a 1/2×28 pitch, lets you mount a suppressor or a muzzle brake without any additional adapter, which keeps the platform clean and immediately adaptable.
Grand Power engineered the Stribog around a dual-mass slide design. In a blowback or delayed-blowback 9mm carbine, managing the mass of the reciprocating parts is the primary lever for reducing felt recoil and muzzle flip — more so than buffer weight alone in a conventional AR-style design. The dual-mass system divides the work of deceleration across two moving components, which in practice produces a noticeably flatter shot-to-shot cycle than a simpler single-mass arrangement.
The M-LOK handguard gives you standardized attachment points along the forend without adding unnecessary weight or bulk, so lights, lasers, or a hand stop can be positioned exactly where you need them. Ambidextrous controls — safety, magazine release, and charging handle — mean neither a left- nor right-handed shooter has to adapt their technique or modify the rifle. The fixed stock suits the carbine format well, keeping the overall package consistent and rigid.
This variant ships with three magazines at a ten-round capacity, and the fixed stock and overall configuration make it appropriate for shooters in states with magazine-capacity restrictions who still want the full Stribog feature set without a separate configuration purchase.
