Description

The Lantac Dragon Plan-B Long is a muzzle brake built for shooters running 9mm pistol-caliber carbines or pistols who want meaningful recoil and muzzle-rise reduction alongside the ability to mount a Plan-B HUB suppressor adapter. The two functions are not an afterthought of each other — the brake is designed from the outset to accept the Plan-B HUB interface, so you are not stacking an adapter onto a brake that was never intended for it.

The core of the Dragon’s performance claim is what Lantac calls the Short Energy Pulse system. The idea is that the brake vents gas quickly enough to shorten the duration of the recoil impulse, so the rearward push resolves before the next round’s recoil can compound on top of it. In fast-fire strings, that separation matters: muzzle climb accumulates when each shot’s movement carries into the next, and a shorter impulse gives the shooter more time to reestablish a firing position between rounds.

Construction starts with AISI 4140 steel, which is then hardened and finished through a QPQ nitriding process conforming to AMS2753D. QPQ leaves the surface with genuine corrosion resistance rather than a decorative coating, and the hardened substrate resists the erosion that sustained fire puts on a brake’s ports and baffles. Each unit is serial numbered for quality control traceability. The 1/2-28 threaded mount ships with a timing shim set so the brake indexes correctly relative to the bore without improvised spacers.
