Description

The SureFire 3P Eliminator is a dedicated flash hider built for AR-10 platforms and other 7.62mm rifles where muzzle flash is a genuine concern rather than an aesthetic one. It is not suppressor-compatible — this is a purpose-built flash suppression device, and that single-purpose focus shapes everything about its construction.

The three-prong geometry is the core of how it works: the tines vent and disperse propellant gases radially as the projectile exits, breaking up the luminous combustion envelope that would otherwise bloom in front of the muzzle. SureFire’s testing puts flash reduction at greater than 99% compared to a bare, unthreaded muzzle. The tines are built with enough material section to handle sustained hard use without deformation.

Construction starts with U.S. mill-certified, heat-treated stainless steel bar stock. The Black Nitride finish — SureFire calls it out specifically rather than a generic parkerizing or cerakote — provides corrosion resistance and a surface that cleans more readily than bare metal after carbon fouling accumulates. Threads are single-point cut, which produces a more precise thread form than die-cut alternatives and directly supports the concentricity requirements SureFire builds to. Every unit is individually inspected for concentricity and alignment, which matters here because a flash hider that isn’t running true to the bore centerline can cause problems beyond poor flash suppression. A blind pilot hole at the 6 o’clock position accommodates pin-and-weld installations without requiring a separately drilled fixture.

Installation requires no permanent modification to the rifle beyond the existing 5/8-24 threaded muzzle.
