Description
The Magpul PMAG for the LWRCI SIX8 is purpose-built for one platform: LWRCI’s SIX8 rifle architecture. The SIX8 uses a magazine well geometry that differs from a standard AR/M4 lower, so this magazine will not seat or feed correctly in a conventional M4-pattern lower receiver. If your lower receiver carries the SIX8 or Valkyrie logo on the magazine well, this is the correct magazine for it.
The body is built on Magpul’s M3 polymer, a construction approach that distributes stress more evenly through the feed tower than earlier PMAG generations, which matters when the magazine takes impacts during a drop or a reload under pressure. An over-insertion stop on the spine prevents the magazine from seating too deep in the well — a small detail that becomes relevant when the shooter is running a rifle hard and not carefully seating each magazine. The stainless steel follower spring resists the surface corrosion that can develop on carbon steel springs when a magazine sits loaded in humid storage or field conditions, and it keeps the spring rate consistent with USGI-specification replacements if a field swap is ever needed.
The textured front and rear grip surfaces give enough purchase to strip the magazine deliberately even with wet or gloved hands. A paint pen dot matrix is molded into the body so magazine markings applied in the field don’t wear away as quickly as they would on smooth polymer. The floorplate is designed to stay secure under recoil while still allowing straightforward disassembly for cleaning without tools.
At 30 rounds of 6.8mm Remington SPC, this magazine fills the SIX8 platform to its standard capacity.
