The Magpul PMAG 10/30 AR/M4 GEN M3 is built for shooters who need a standard 30-round magazine body but require a 10-round capacity — whether for training purposes or to comply with capacity restrictions where they live and shoot. It fits the same pouches and works with the same rigs as a full-capacity PMAG, so there is no need to reconfigure your kit.

The capacity is reduced through a proprietary lock plate that is permanently fixed in place with an aluminum rivet. The lock plate tab is clearly marked, making identification straightforward at a glance. Magpul’s position is that this magazine is not designed or intended to be modified — the restriction is structural, not cosmetic.

Beyond the capacity question, this is a standard GEN M3 PMAG in terms of construction. The body is polymer engineered for impact and crush resistance, and the constant-curve geometry keeps rounds feeding at a consistent angle throughout the stack. The spring is stainless steel for long service life without taking a set from extended storage while loaded. Modified internal and external geometries extend compatibility beyond mil-spec AR platforms to include the HK 416, MR556A1, M27 IAR, British SA-80, and FN SCAR MK 16/16S, among others. The redesigned bolt catch notch provides additional clearance, and an overtravel stop on the spine prevents the magazine from seating too deep on compatible receivers. Made in the USA.
