Precision bolt-action shooters running .30-06 Springfield in an AICS-pattern chassis or bottom metal have historically had to adapt magazines designed around other cartridges. MDT’s dedicated .30-06 magazine solves that directly: because it is dimensioned specifically for the cartridge rather than repurposed from a .300 Winchester Magnum-sized body, it supports cartridge overall lengths up to 3.625 inches without the fitment compromises that come with workarounds.

The magazine body is constructed from steel and finished in Cerakote Elite, a coating that bonds chemically to the metal rather than sitting on top of it, which gives it meaningful resistance to corrosion and abrasion in field conditions. The single-stack, single-feed design keeps the column geometry consistent, so each round presents to the bolt face at the same angle on every cycle.

At 3.715 inches in overall length, this magazine seats flush with standard AICS long-action inlets and the MDT chassis systems built around that pattern. The five-round capacity fits within the body length without forcing a compromise in follower geometry or spring tension. If your chassis or bottom metal accepts AICS long-action magazines, this one drops in without modification.
