Description

MDT’s Gen 2 AICS-pattern magazine is built for precision bolt-action shooters running chassis systems or bottom metals designed around the AICS footprint. The body is molded from high-glass-content polymer, which keeps weight down while giving the magazine enough rigidity to resist deformation under the clamping pressure that chassis systems can place on a magazine well. A tempered steel spring handles the feed cycle, maintaining consistent cartridge presentation through the full column without the spring fatigue that can develop in all-polymer internals over time.

The short-action AICS pattern covers a wide range of cartridges beyond .308 Winchester and 7.62 NATO — 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, .243 Winchester, 7mm-08, .260 Remington, and 6mm XC all share enough case geometry to feed reliably from the same body. That flexibility makes this magazine a practical choice for shooters who run multiple uppers or barreled actions in a single chassis. MDT guarantees fit in their own XRS, TAC21, LSS, LSS-XL, ESS, and ACC chassis systems, and the magazine is also compatible with a broad range of M24-type chassis designs and aftermarket bottom metals from other manufacturers.

The Flat Dark Earth finish is MDT’s own, and it matches MDT chassis components finished in the same color for shooters building a coordinated setup. At 10 rounds, the column height stays short enough to shoot comfortably from a prone position without the magazine grounding before the stock does — a practical consideration for field and competition use. This is not compatible with the Browning X-Bolt or Winchester XPC, and some chassis systems including the Winchester Model 70 and KRG X-Ray may require minor fitting.
