The 3.560-inch magazine length is specifically sized for those actions, which have a shorter magazine well than the standard MDT long-action well — using a 3.715-inch magazine in these chassis will not fit correctly, so confirming your chassis well length before ordering is essential.

The body is formed from high-strength steel, giving it the rigidity needed to maintain consistent feed geometry under field conditions where polymer magazines can flex under load. MDT finishes it in Cerakote Elite, a ceramic-based coating that resists corrosion and abrasion better than conventional bluing or phosphate treatments, making it a reasonable choice for rifles carried in harsh weather.
