Wilson Combat built this Officer-pattern magazine for shooters who run compact 1911s and refuse to compromise on feed reliability. The Officer-frame grip is short enough to print minimally under a cover garment, but that shorter magazine well leaves less room for error in follower geometry and spring tension — problems Wilson Combat addresses by specifying a fiber-filled, self-lubricating nylon follower that resists tipping and a heavy-duty stainless steel spring wound to maximum tensile strength, both of which contribute to consistent round presentation at the feed lips.

The tube itself is aircraft-grade certified stainless steel heat-treated for dimensional stability, with walls measured at .027 inches — thick enough to resist deformation under the repeated impact of slide closure without adding bulk that would compromise the fit in a tight-tolerance gun. The natural stainless finish is left as-is from the factory, so there is no coating to wear through at contact points over time.

The low-profile steel basepad sits flush enough that it does not compromise concealability or snag on a holster on the draw, while still giving enough of a purchase to strip the magazine cleanly under stress. This is a meaningful trade-off for a carry-dedicated magazine: extended basepads aid a range reload but work against the compact format the Officer platform exists to serve. At seven rounds of .45 ACP, this magazine fills the gun to its designed capacity without modification. Compatible with compact Officer and Defender pattern 1911s and similar-dimension clones.
