Description

The Magpul BDA is a pistol arm brace built for AR-format pistol builds where the shooter wants a stable cheekweld surface and dependable single-handed control without adding unnecessary bulk. It fits Mil-Spec carbine, A5, and pistol receiver extensions, making it a practical choice whether you are running a standard lower or one of the longer buffer systems that have become common in short-barreled configurations.

The brace’s lateral surface area is the central design decision here. A wider, flatter cheek surface means more forearm contact when the shooter applies tension through a sling, which translates directly into a more controlled firing position. Rather than relying on grip alone to manage muzzle movement, the shooter can use the brace and sling together to create a braced platform that distributes that work more evenly.

The integrated rear QD cup handles sling attachment without requiring an additional mount or adapter. Because it is built into the endplate-adjacent position, it keeps the sling connection centered and ambidextrous — the same attachment point works on either side depending on how the shooter rigs the sling. That small detail removes a common source of rattle and misalignment that comes with bolt-on QD sockets added after the fact.
