Description

The SB Tactical FS1913A is built for pistol-format firearms that terminate at a rear M1913 Picatinny rail rather than a buffer tube — platforms like the SIG MCX, MPX, Rattler, CMMG Dissent, Volquartsen ENV, Rock River LAR-PDS, and several chassis-based rimfire designs. Because those platforms have no buffer tube to mount a conventional stock or brace, the FS1913A solves the problem by clamping directly onto the rear Picatinny interface, keeping the overall package compact and eliminating the need for an adapter.

The strut is machined from 6061 aluminum, which keeps weight down without sacrificing rigidity along the length of the brace. The hinge is steel, and that material distinction matters: the hinge is the highest-stress point in a folding design, and steel resists the repeated flex and locking forces better than aluminum would at that location. The hinge locks positively in both the folded and extended positions, so there is no slop in either state. The left-fold direction is deliberate — it keeps the folded brace away from controls that are typically on the right side of the receiver.

Deployment is handled through a pull-through system, meaning the brace can be opened quickly with one hand rather than requiring a separate button press or latch manipulation. An adjustable nylon stabilization strap is included, and the entire unit ships as a complete, ready-to-install assembly with no additional components required. At 13 oz, the FS1913A adds meaningful mass compared to a bare receiver end, but that is largely attributable to the steel hinge hardware. The 9.25-inch length and 1.2-inch width keep the profile narrow enough to avoid interfering with optics or night-vision equipment mounted above the receiver.
