The Magpul DAKA Can 2.0 in Flat Dark Earth is a compact, injection-molded polymer storage container built for the kind of gear that can’t afford to get crushed, soaked, or buried in pocket lint. It started life as a protective case for Magpul’s own eyewear line, and that origin shows in how seriously the enclosure takes its job. The shell is rigid enough to resist compression from other gear stacked on top of it, while the weather and dust resistance keeps the interior environment stable whether it’s riding in a range bag, a truck console, or a pack on a humid trail.

The interior is fully lined with soft-surfaced, high-density foam that conforms around whatever you put inside — lenses, electronics, medications, or small tools — holding items in place without requiring cutouts sized to a specific object. The lid loads from the top and is fitted with a steel hinge, which distributes stress across the pivot rather than concentrating it at a single point the way a plastic hinge would. It snaps shut positively, creating a seal that keeps out dirt and moisture without requiring a separate latch or zipper.

Compared to the original DAKA Can, the 2.0 version brings an expanded interior footprint, a revised opening geometry for easier access, and the updated foam liner in place of the earlier design. The Flat Dark Earth finish is the same polymer color used across Magpul’s accessory line, so it coordinates with other DAKA-series gear if you run a matched kit.
