Description

The Magpul DAKA Grid Organizer is designed for shooters who want to move rifles, optics, and accessories in a hard case without relying on traditional foam. It fits the Plano All Weather 2 42″ case as a precision-fit drop-in replacement—no cutting, trimming, or modification required.

Where conventional foam holds gear by compressing around it, the DAKA Grid works differently: the system braces equipment between modular panels and blocks under compression, which keeps items from shifting during transport without the foam slowly absorbing oils, moisture, and solvent residue over time. The construction material is Expanded Polypropylene (EPP), a closed-cell material that resists liquids and chemicals and wipes clean rather than soaking them in. EPP is also meaningfully lighter than the foam bats typically found in hard cases, which matters when you’re already dealing with the weight of the case itself.

Reconfiguration is tool-free. The grid of panels and blocks can be rearranged in seconds to accommodate different loadouts—switch from a single precision rifle with accessories to two carbines and back without any permanent alteration to the organizer. The center panels can also be removed or trimmed to fit equipment wider than the standard channel, up to roughly 4.25 inches. The kit includes the base panels, six triple blocks, six double blocks, and replacement base foam. For anyone who rotates between different rifles or needs a case interior that adapts to the mission rather than forcing the mission to adapt to the case, this is a practical upgrade over static foam.
