Description

The Magpul EHG RG9 Sub-Compact Grip is a grip module designed to convert the Ruger RXM into a smaller, more concealable carry pistol. It accepts Ruger’s Fire Control Insert, meaning the shooter keeps the serialized FCI they already own and simply moves it into a new frame configuration — a practical arrangement for those who want to run the same trigger assembly across different grip sizes.

The texture is Magpul’s Trapezoidal Surface Projection pattern scaled to three-quarters of the full-size geometry, which gives reliable purchase without the aggressive bite that makes full-size TSP uncomfortable during extended range sessions. It runs across the front strap, back strap, side panels, and forward index pads, so grip consistency is the same regardless of how the hand rotates under recoil. The trigger guard is undercut to allow a higher grip position, which puts the bore axis closer to the hand and reduces the leverage recoil has to rotate the muzzle upward between shots.

A recessed, textured magazine release scallop lets the thumb find and actuate the release without fumbling, while a flared magazine well makes reloads faster under stress. The integrated Picatinny rail accepts standard weapon lights and lasers. The frame heel features a carry bevel to reduce printing through cover garments. The grip is compatible with Magpul GL9 magazines as well as standard OEM GLOCK 9mm magazines, and it ships with the magazine release, magazine-release spring, slide-lock spring, and takedown pin spring. Construction is injection-molded polymer, consistent with Magpul’s standard manufacturing approach across their grip line. This variant is finished in Flat Dark Earth.
