Description
The Magpul Hunter American Stock is built for shooters who want to wring more precision out of a Ruger American bolt-action rifle without replacing the action itself. It fits right-hand Ruger American receivers chambered in short-action calibers that feed from a STANAG-pattern magazine, making it a direct solution for Predator and Ranch model owners who want a more capable chassis-style platform under their existing barreled action.
The foundation of the stock is a machine-cast aluminum bedding block with high-strength steel recoil lugs. That combination matters because a rigid, consistent interface between the action and the stock is where practical accuracy is won or lost — bedding eliminates the flex and variable contact that can shift point of impact between shots or with changes in temperature and humidity. The reinforced polymer shell keeps weight in check while the aluminum chassis handles the structural load.
Length of pull adjusts from 13.0 to 15.0 inches, and the cheek riser sets at three discrete heights — 0.00, 0.50, or 0.75 inches — so the same rifle can be fitted to different shooters or adapted when adding a taller scope. M-LOK slots on the fore-end sides and underside let you attach a bipod, sling mount, or other accessories without an adapter. The included STANAG magazine well replaces the factory interface and allows detachable box magazines compatible with that pattern to drop free cleanly. Total weight of the stock assembly is 3.3 pounds.
