Description

The Magpul Hunter 700 is a purpose-built chassis stock for the Remington 700 short-action platform, aimed at hunters and precision shooters who want a more capable foundation without committing to a full aluminum chassis system. It replaces the factory stock while keeping installation straightforward — no permanent bedding compound is needed because an anodized aluminum bedding block is built directly into the polymer body, giving the action a consistent and rigid registration point every time you reinstall it.

The free-float design means the barrel makes no contact with the stock material forward of the receiver, which removes a common variable in shot-to-shot consistency caused by pressure changes as a barrel heats up or flexes under sling tension. The stock accommodates factory and aftermarket barrels up to 0.920 inches in diameter measured 5.5 inches forward of the breech, so most hunting and varmint profiles will drop straight in. The tapered beam running the length of the forend contributes to that rigidity without adding bulk.

Length of pull adjusts between 13 and 15 inches via the non-slip rubber buttpad, which lets you dial in fit for different clothing layers or shooting positions rather than living with whatever the factory stock happened to be. M-LOK slots along the forend let you mount a bipod, light, or other accessories directly to the stock without adding a separate rail adapter. The finish is Flat Dark Earth throughout.

One practical note: Remington 700 ADL blind-magazine models will need either the factory hinged bottom metal or Magpul’s optional magazine well adapter to function with this stock, and factory action screws may need to be trimmed or replaced depending on your specific receiver.
