Description

The Daniel Defense Collapsible Buttstock in Tornado Grey is built for shooters who want a properly fitted, no-compromise stock for a mil-spec AR platform without adding weight or mechanical complexity. Where many collapsible stocks rely on tensioning devices or friction locks to manage slop on the buffer tube, Daniel Defense engineered this one to a tighter internal fit from the start — the stock is precision-formed to mil-spec receiver extension dimensions so that forward and lateral play are minimized by geometry rather than by a clamping mechanism. Fewer moving parts means fewer points of failure and nothing to adjust or replace over time.

Construction is a proprietary glass-infused polymer blend, which keeps weight down while maintaining structural rigidity under hard use. Soft-touch rubber overmolding covers contact points at the cheek and shoulder, giving the shooter a consistent weld that doesn’t shift between positions. That repeatable cheek contact matters most when transitioning quickly or shooting from awkward angles where muscle memory has to do the work.

The stock ships with two interchangeable butt pads — a thicker convex pad at 0.8 inches and a thinner concave pad at 0.5 inches — so the shooter can dial in length of pull to accommodate different body builds or layered clothing without tools. Running without any pad is also an option if the application calls for it. Limited-rotation QD sling attachment points are integrated on both sides of the stock, so ambidextrous sling setups don’t require additional hardware. Tornado Grey is Daniel Defense’s own color designation and will not be an exact match to Magpul’s grey furniture.
