Description

The Magpul AFG for M-LOK handguards is built around a straightforward ergonomic argument: a shooter’s hand positioned high on the bore centerline does a better job of managing muzzle rise than one hanging below it. Conventional vertical foregrips pull the support hand downward and away from the bore axis, which can amplify the rotational moment during recoil. The AFG’s low-profile angled geometry keeps the wrist in a more natural, forward-canted position that works with the shooter’s skeleton rather than against it, reducing the leverage recoil has on your muzzle.

Compared to Magpul’s own AFG-2, the M-LOK version runs about three-quarters of an inch shorter while preserving a comparable gripping surface area. That shorter footprint opens up more mounting real estate on a handguard and keeps the overall package lighter without giving up the functional contact area your support hand actually uses. The M-LOK attachment system means the grip sits flush against the rail slots with no adapter or rail section required, which eliminates the added bulk and potential rattle points that come with Picatinny-mounted accessories.

Construction is polymer, keeping weight low — the grip and its mounting hardware together add very little to the rifle’s carry weight. It is made in the USA and ships in Flat Dark Earth, matching Magpul’s standard FDE finish family for builders coordinating furniture across a platform. Mounting hardware is included. Compatible with any M-LOK-equipped handguard, it works equally well on AR-pattern rifles, bolt guns with M-LOK stocks, and chassis systems that accept the standard.
