Description

The Magpul MVG is a compact vertical foregrip built for shooters who prefer the thumb-break hold — a technique where the thumb wraps over rather than under the grip, keeping the hand closer to the bore axis for better muzzle control. The shorter profile suits that grip style well, though it works equally as a conventional vertical foregrip for those who run the platform differently.

Attachment is direct to M-LOK slots on aluminum or polymer handguards, so no Picatinny adapter section is needed. That keeps the overall package lighter and eliminates a potential point of movement that an adapter would introduce. All mounting hardware for both aluminum and polymer handguards is included in the box, and installation requires only a hex key.

The grip body is polymer, consistent with Magpul’s standard construction approach across the MOE line. The exterior uses Magpul’s TSP texture — a pattern designed to maintain purchase across wet, gloved, or otherwise compromised hands without becoming abrasive during extended handling. The rounded contours complement the abbreviated length, contributing to a snag-reduced profile that suits a variety of shooting positions.
