Description
The Magpul M-LOK Rail Covers Type 2 Half Slot in Flat Dark Earth are built for shooters who want consistent coverage on an aluminum M-LOK handguard without leaving awkward gaps around mounted accessories. When you add a hand stop, a bipod mount, or a light at an odd interval, full-size covers often can’t fill the remaining space on either side. These half-slot panels are sized specifically to occupy those leftover positions, so the handguard surface stays uniform and snag-free rather than exposing bare aluminum between attachments.
Each panel sits only 1/8″ proud of the mounting surface, which keeps the grip profile close to the handguard itself. That low stack height matters when your hand needs to slide forward or rearward quickly — there’s nothing significant to catch on gear or barricades. The beveled edges reinforce that, directing snags away from the panel rather than letting them arrest your movement. Magpul’s TSP texture — trapezoidal surface projections — gives the polymer a tactile purchase without concentrating pressure on a single ridge, which becomes relevant during high-volume strings when the handguard builds heat.
The two-piece design is non-orientation-specific, so you can install a panel in either direction without affecting how it locks. The center tab is pre-scored, letting you snap off sections to mix colors or trim fit around a specific slot configuration. The package includes four panels. These mount only to aluminum M-LOK handguards — they are not compatible with Magpul’s own MOE M-LOK, MOE SL, or SGA polymer forends, and may not seat correctly on free-float handguards with a wider, flatter slot profile. Made in the USA.
