Description
Magpul’s M-LOK Rail Covers Type 2 in Flat Dark Earth are a practical solution for anyone running an M-LOK aluminum handguard who wants to fill unused slots, improve grip, and keep the rail from snagging on gear. Each panel is a two-piece design that snaps directly into a single M-LOK slot on most aluminum handguards — note that polymer M-LOK forends such as the Magpul MOE M-LOK, MOE SL, and SGA are not compatible, and free-float handguards with a wider, flatter profile may not seat the covers deeply enough for the center locking tab to engage properly.
The covers are non-orientation specific, so there is no wrong way to install them — useful when you are working quickly or mixing panel colors. Speaking of which, the center locking tab is pre-scored, allowing you to snap off sections and combine Flat Dark Earth panels with covers from other colorways for a custom look without any additional tools or hardware.
Profile is kept intentionally low, protruding roughly 1/8 inch from the mounting surface, so the handguard’s overall diameter stays manageable and clothing or gear is less likely to catch. Beveled edges reinforce that snag-resistance, while Magpul’s TSP (trapezoidal surface projection) texture adds purchase without the abrasiveness of aggressive stippling. Each package includes six panels, each covering one M-LOK slot, giving you enough to fill a meaningful stretch of rail in a single purchase.
