The Magpul Wire Control Kit addresses this by giving you a dedicated, modular mounting system built directly into your M-LOK handguard slots rather than layered on top of them.

The kit contains six assemblies, each sized to occupy a half M-LOK slot, which means you can position them precisely along the rail without being locked into full-slot increments. Each assembly can channel a cable in one of three directions: straight through, turned 90 degrees, or reversed at 180 degrees. That routing flexibility matters when you’re working around pressure switches, tape switches, or IR devices where the cable entry angle varies depending on where the accessory mounts relative to the wire’s origin.

Because the assemblies are independent and tool-free to reconfigure, you can reorganize a cable run when you swap lights or lasers without pulling the forend or leaving adhesive residue behind. The system is designed for standard gauge cables, which covers the majority of aftermarket light and laser wiring. One practical limitation worth knowing: the kit is confirmed compatible with metal M-LOK handguards but may not seat correctly in all polymer M-LOK handguards, so verify your handguard material before ordering.
