Description
The Magpul MOE Carbine Stock is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR-15, M16, and M4 carbines running commercial-spec receiver extension tubes. If your lower was built around a commercial-diameter buffer tube — common on Bushmaster, DPMS, and similar legacy platforms — this stock fits without modification or adapters. The receiver extension tube itself is not included.
The A-frame profile wraps around and shields the release latch rather than leaving it exposed. That matters during fast transitions or when the rifle is brushing against gear, because an unguarded latch can trip accidentally under those conditions. The same slim profile also reduces the number of surfaces that can snag on clothing, a truck door, or brush.
A premium chrome-silicon lock spring holds the stock firmly at each of the six length-of-pull positions. Standard milsurp lock springs are softer and tend to allow rattle and drift over time; the stiffer spring rate here keeps whichever position you set it to from creeping under recoil or handling. The 3.8-inch adjustment range is wider than what the mil-spec MAG400 variant offers, so the stock accommodates a broader spread of shooter builds and layering conditions without swapping parts.
The rubber butt pad is removable without tools, which matters both for cleaning and for replacing it once the rubber surface wears. Side slots accept optional Magpul CTR Cheek Risers for non-AR platforms, and the stock is compatible with Magpul ASAP and ASAP QD receiver-mount sling attachments. Built in the United States from reinforced polymer.
