Description
The SBA5 is SB Tactical’s middle-ground option in the A-Series lineup, aimed at shooters who want adjustability and meaningful structural support without the added bulk of the SBA4. It fits directly onto any standard mil-spec carbine receiver extension, so it drops onto the vast majority of AR-pattern builds without adapters or modification.
The five-position adjustment gives you the same range of pull-length options you’d get from a standard collapsible stock, letting you dial in a consistent cheek position across different shooting scenarios or when layering over body armor. The reinforced polymer construction sits between the minimalist profile of the SBA3 and the heavier-duty SBA4 — it’s more rigid than the former without adding the weight and girth of the latter. That balance makes it a practical fit for compact defensive builds, AR-9 pistol-caliber setups, and range-focused configurations where you want something that tracks repeatably without unnecessary mass.
The cuff geometry is modeled after the original SB15, which means a broader contact surface than the SBA3’s slimmer profile — relevant if you’re running the brace against your forearm for a more stable shooting position. Width comes in at approximately 2.1 inches and overall length at approximately 6.125 inches, keeping the footprint compact enough for PDW-style builds. At approximately 9.5 ounces, it adds minimal weight to a short-barreled platform. This FDE version ships in SB Tactical’s Flat Dark Earth finish. Designed by US veterans and manufactured in the USA.
