Description

The PMAG 10 AC is built for bolt-action rifles fitted with Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS)-pattern bottom metal, including the Magpul Hunter family of stocks. If you are running a precision bolt gun in a chassis or chassis-style stock that accepts AICS-pattern magazines, this is the purpose-built option for 5.56-based cartridges rather than a workaround with a magazine designed for a different platform.

The magazine uses GEN M3 technology throughout. The follower is self-lubricating, which reduces the maintenance burden and keeps feeding consistent without requiring regular attention to that component. The stainless-steel spring and constant-curve internal geometry work together to keep cartridges moving through the stack at the correct angle, so the bolt strips each round cleanly without nose-diving or binding.

Where this design addresses a known problem directly: AICS-pattern magazines for 5.56 cartridges have historically struggled with bolt face engagement because the cartridge geometry does not naturally lend itself to that magazine format. Magpul incorporated offset feed lip geometry specifically to maximize how much of the cartridge head the bolt face contacts at the moment of feeding. That change resolves a mechanical issue that has caused failures in other AICS magazines chambered for this cartridge, rather than simply tolerating it. The 10-round capacity fits within the footprint that most AICS-pattern magazine wells are designed around, keeping the profile compact and the fit consistent in stocks like the Magpul Hunter.
