Description
The Magpul PMAG 10 7.62 AC is built for precision bolt-action shooters running AICS-pattern bottom metal who need a reliable, higher-capacity polymer magazine for the .308 Winchester family of cartridges. It replaces metal-lipped alternatives with a construction that eliminates the need to adjust feed lips over time — polymer maintains its geometry without the deformation that can develop in steel or aluminum under hard use.
GEN M3 technology underpins the design, bringing next-generation impact and crush-resistant polymer throughout the body. The self-lubricating follower reduces friction across the full stroke without requiring lubrication, which matters in field conditions where maintenance opportunities are limited. A long-life stainless steel spring maintains consistent feed tension across all ten rounds. The flared floorplate does two things: it gives a positive grip surface when pulling the magazine under time pressure, and it simplifies disassembly for routine cleaning.
The paint-pen dot matrix panels on the body let shooters mark magazines for load identification — useful when running multiple cartridges built on the same case head, since this magazine is also compatible with 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08 Remington, .260 Remington, and .243 Winchester, among others, provided they share the 0.470-inch case head dimension. Maximum accepted cartridge overall length is 2.86 inches. The follower leg can be trimmed to free an additional round of capacity if needed. It is not compatible with smaller-head cartridges like .223 Remington or with larger short-action magnums, and fitting may be required depending on the specific receiver and chassis combination.
