The PMAG 30G MagLevel is Magpul’s answer to a reliable, purpose-built magazine for the Heckler & Koch G36 platform. Rather than adapting a design from another rifle family, this magazine is engineered specifically for the G36’s feed geometry and catch dimensions, making it compatible with all 5.56x45mm G36 variants with the exception of the semi-auto U.S.-marketed SL8.

The standout feature is the MagLevel system: transparent windows run along both sides of the polymer body, and the spring itself carries a painted indicator. That combination lets you read remaining capacity at a glance without removing the magazine or counting rounds — useful any time you need a quick status check without breaking your grip or your focus. The window placement on both sides means it works whether the rifle is in your hands or staged on a bench.

Internally, a constant-curve geometry keeps rounds aligned consistently as the stack drops, reducing the chance of a nose-dive or misfeed as the magazine empties. The anti-tilt follower is self-lubricating, so it moves freely without any maintenance on your part. The stainless steel spring is black-oxide coated to a USGI military specification, which addresses corrosion resistance without adding weight. The polymer body is built to handle impact and crushing forces — the kind of abuse a magazine takes when dropped on hard surfaces or loaded into a stacked pouch. A flared floorplate makes both one-handed magazine changes and disassembly for cleaning straightforward. Made in the USA.
