Description
The Magpul PMAG 10 AK/AKM MOE is built for shooters who need a reliable, polymer magazine for AK-pattern rifles chambered in 7.62x39mm—particularly in jurisdictions or competitions where reduced-capacity magazines are required, or simply as a range-day spare that won’t break the bank. Magpul designed this magazine around the same MOE platform geometry used across their AK line, so it drops into standard AK-47 and AKM pattern receivers without modification.
The polymer construction keeps weight down compared to steel surplus magazines while resisting the corrosion that can compromise steel feedlips over time. Because the feedlips are integral to the polymer body rather than a separate stamped insert, the geometry stays consistent across the life of the magazine. The anti-tilt follower is engineered to keep rounds tracking straight through the feed cycle, reducing the chance of nose-down presentation that can cause feeding issues—particularly relevant in a platform where magazine taper and the angle of the feed ramp put more demand on follower geometry than a straight-stack design would.
Ten-round capacity means this magazine sits flush and low, which some shooters prefer for prone shooting positions where a full-capacity magazine forces the rifle higher off the ground. It also loads cleanly from stripper clips if you’re working through a volume of ammunition at the range. Magpul’s self-lubricating polymer does not require any treatment before first use. The matte black finish is consistent with other Magpul MOE accessories, so it won’t stand out visually against a standard-configuration rifle.
