Description

The PMAG 30 AR/M4 GEN M2 MOE is Magpul’s stripped-down, function-first answer to the question of what a reliable AR-15 magazine needs to be. It carries the same constant-curve internal geometry found in more fully-featured PMAG variants, which keeps the cartridge stack aligned through the full travel of the follower and reduces the friction that causes feeding hesitation—particularly as the spring compresses under a full load. The anti-tilt, self-lubricating follower works alongside that geometry to keep the top round consistently presented to the bolt face rather than nose-diving or canting under rapid cycling.

The MOE designation signals a deliberate trade-off: this profile omits the dust cover included on some other GEN M2 configurations, keeping the price and the profile trim. The floorplate is flared enough to give a positive grip during emergency mag changes and to clear retention tabs on standard pouches, but slim enough to still fit inside double and triple magazine pouches without binding. It’s removable for cleaning and field inspection without tools. The ribbed body and textured front and rear surfaces give you something to grab when gloves, mud, or cold are working against you.

Construction is impact- and crush-resistant MOE polymer, paired with a stainless steel spring chosen for corrosion resistance over the service life of the magazine. Magpul includes paint-pen ID panels on the body so you can mark magazines by load, condition, or sequence—useful during training or any situation where you’re running multiple mags at once. Compatible with Colt-spec AR-15 and M4 platforms chambered in 5.56×45 NATO and .223 Remington. Made in the USA.
