The PMAG 40 AR/M4 GEN M3 is built for shooters who want more rounds on tap without changing their rifle’s handling or reach for a bulkier platform. Ten additional rounds over a standard 30-round magazine can reduce how often you reload during a long range session or a competition stage, and Magpul achieves that without stretching the body to the point where the magazine becomes awkward to seat or carry.

The GEN M3 body is molded from a next-generation impact- and crush-resistant polymer, which holds up to the kind of incidental abuse magazines take in the field — being dropped on hard ground, stuffed into a tight pouch, or stepped on. The constant-curve internal geometry keeps the cartridge stack aligned at a consistent angle from top to bottom, so the bolt strips each round cleanly rather than fighting a stack that changes geometry as it empties. The anti-tilt follower is self-lubricating, which addresses one of the common failure points of polymer magazines: a follower that binds or cants under spring pressure and causes feeding stoppages.

An over-insertion stop on the spine prevents the magazine from seating too deeply on compatible platforms, and a redesigned bolt catch notch improves clearance for reliable last-round bolt hold-open. The reinforced feed lips maintain their geometry over time under spring tension, which matters for a high-capacity magazine where that spring is under more sustained load. The floorplate removes without tools for straightforward cleaning and inspection. Dot matrix panels on the body accept a paint pen for unit or gear marking. Made in the USA.
