Description

The Magpul Pro 700 chassis is built for shooters who want a purpose-designed precision platform around the Remington 700 short-action footprint rather than a modified sporting stock. It suits competitive long-range shooters, tactical applications, and anyone who has outgrown the ergonomic limits of a traditional rifle stock and needs a chassis that can be genuinely dialed in to the shooter rather than approximated.

The skeleton is machined from billet aluminum and clad in Magpul polymer, a combination that keeps the chassis rigid where it needs to be for repeatable accuracy while reducing the thermal discomfort and noise signature of bare metal in field conditions. The polymer shell is not cosmetic — it serves a functional role in dampening handling sounds and moderating surface temperature in both cold and heat.

Full adjustability means length of pull and cheek weld height can be set independently, which matters when the same rifle needs to work across different shooting positions or different shooters, or when adding or removing body armor changes your natural head position on the stock. The folding hinge on this variant lets the rifle pack down to a substantially shorter overall length without tools, useful for transport or vehicle use where a full-length rifle is impractical.

The chassis is fully ambidextrous. Swapping the bolt retainer plate converts it between right- and left-handed actions, and both the cheek riser and the folding hinge are reversible, so left-handed shooters get a properly configured setup rather than a mirrored afterthought. The OD Green finish on this variant is Magpul’s ODG, applied to both the aluminum and polymer components for a consistent appearance throughout.
