Description
The Magpul RVG is a compact vertical foregrip built for shooters who want a clean, repeatable grip on a Picatinny-railed handguard without giving up rail space for other accessories. Its vertical profile keeps the overall footprint narrow, leaving room forward and aft for lights, lasers, or other attachments that a bulkier grip would crowd out.
The geometry is designed to place the support hand high relative to the bore, which reduces muzzle rise by keeping the off-hand in a more mechanically efficient position during recoil. The grip is fully usable as a conventional vertical hold, but Magpul shaped it specifically around the thumb-break method, where the thumb wraps over the top of the foregrip rather than gripping straight down — a technique that tightens the shooter’s pull into the stock and steadies the rifle during rapid follow-up shots.
Aggressive texturing runs the full grip surface, with raised ridges at the front and rear to index the hand consistently regardless of glove thickness or conditions. At 3.5 inches tall, the RVG stays out of the way of barricades and low-ready positions while still providing a full purchase. The whole assembly, including mounting hardware, comes in at 2.6 ounces — light enough that it adds no meaningful weight to the rifle. Construction is Magpul’s high-strength polymer throughout, and installation hardware is included in the box. This FDE variant carries Magpul’s Flat Dark Earth finish. Made in the USA.
