The MDT LSS Gen 3 Tactical Forend is built for shooters who want to expand what their LSS Gen 3 chassis can do — particularly those running night vision setups, duty configurations, or builds that demand a serious accessory platform. It replaces the standard forend with an enclosed structure that eliminates the flex inherent in open designs, giving you a stable foundation whether you’re hanging a bipod, a light, or a laser.

M-LOK slots run along the sides, bottom, and 45-degree faces, so accessory placement isn’t constrained to a single plane. The top of the forend carries a Picatinny rail, which makes mounting a night vision device or clip-on optic a straightforward task without adding a separate rail section. The enclosed design isn’t just about rigidity — it also protects components routed inside the forend from the elements and physical contact.

Machined from 6061 aluminum and finished in Cerakote, the forend handles field conditions without the corrosion concerns that come with bare metal. The Cerakote finish is the same one MDT specifies across their chassis lineup, so the color match on an existing LSS Gen 3 build is consistent rather than approximate. Installation doesn’t require pulling the barreled action, which keeps the process practical at the range or in the field. This forend is designed exclusively for the LSS Gen 3 — it will not fit earlier LSS generations.
