Description
The MDT XRS in Flat Dark Earth is built for shooters who want a modern precision chassis without abandoning the familiar ergonomics of a traditional rifle stock. It fits the CZ 457 action and is the kind of upgrade that makes sense whether you are building a dedicated rimfire competition rifle or simply want a more capable platform than the factory wood allows.
The full-length core is CNC machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum, which gives the chassis its rigidity without relying on the polymer panels that cover it. Those panels serve a practical purpose: they insulate the aluminum from temperature extremes, so the rifle is more comfortable to handle in cold conditions and less prone to heat transfer in warm ones. The precision aluminum V-block bedding system locks the action into a repeatable position, which matters for consistency between cleaning and range sessions.
The forearm runs 12 inches and carries M-LOK slots along its length, giving you a clean mounting surface for ARCA or Picatinny rails depending on how you want to run a bipod or rest. The grip system uses an over-molded textured design, and both an angled grip and a vertical grip ship in the box, so you can set the pistol grip angle to match your hold before you ever buy an aftermarket part. Length of pull adjusts via included spacers from 13.25 inches to over 15 inches, and the cheek piece height adjusts independently to account for varying scope heights above bore. The magazine latch is ambidextrous and accepts standard AICS pattern magazines. QD sling cups are present on both sides of the buttstock, and an integrated barricade stop is built into the foreend for positional shooting work.
