Description

The Magpul Hunter X-22 is a purpose-built chassis stock for the Ruger 10/22, designed for shooters who want a more capable platform for small-game hunting, pest control, or precise range work without committing to a heavier dedicated target rig. It replaces the factory stock entirely with a reinforced polymer chassis that addresses the two main ergonomic shortcomings of the standard 10/22 configuration: a fixed length of pull that fits nobody particularly well, and a comb height optimized for iron sights rather than a mounted optic.

Length of pull adjusts across a two-inch range using half-inch polymer spacers, which means the same stock can reasonably fit a youth shooter and a large-framed adult, or be tuned tightly for a heavy jacket without swapping stocks. The comb is similarly adjustable via optional cheek riser kits in three increments, letting you dial in a consistent weld behind a scope rather than craning your neck to meet a fixed cheekpiece. The grip angle is set at 60 degrees from the bore axis, which positions the wrist more naturally than the shallower angle on most rimfire hunting stocks and reduces the tendency to torque the rifle during trigger pull.

The reversible barrel tray handles both the standard factory pencil-profile barrel and aftermarket bull barrels up to 0.920 inches in diameter, so the chassis remains useful if you later upgrade the barrel. M-LOK slots run along the forend sides and bottom for bipods, slings, or other accessories, and the rear section accommodates QD sling swivels with optional mounts. The non-slip rubber buttpad and built-in footman’s loops round out the sling attachment options. This particular example is finished in Magpul’s Olive Drab Green. Fits standard Ruger 10/22 .22 LR receivers with no gunsmithing required.
