Description

The Mossberg 990 Aftershock SPX is built for shooters who want a compact, fast-handling semi-automatic shotgun suited to close-quarters work and home defense. The gas-operated action absorbs a meaningful portion of felt recoil before it reaches the shooter, which matters when running multiple rounds quickly — the gas system bleeds pressure to cycle the action, rather than letting the full impulse transfer directly through the stock as a pump or inertia design would.
