Description
The Patriot Carbine is built for hunters who want a full-power bolt-action that stays manageable in dense cover or from a blind — the kind of rifle you reach for when a standard-length gun feels like it’s fighting the terrain. It chambers .308 Winchester, which means it also digests 7.62 NATO ammunition, giving you flexibility at the counter when factory .308 is scarce.
The 18-inch barrel is shorter than a conventional hunting rifle’s 22- or 24-inch tube, which trades a modest reduction in muzzle velocity for a rifle that comes to the shoulder faster and fits more naturally in tight spots. The 1-in-10 twist rate is well-suited to the bullet weights most commonly loaded in .308 — generally in the 147- to 175-grain range — so standard hunting and precision loads stabilize reliably without needing to hunt for specialty ammunition.
The barrel is a threaded medium bull profile, which adds mass toward the muzzle to dampen harmonic movement during the firing cycle and gives you a stable platform for adding a muzzle device. The spiral-fluted bolt reduces reciprocating mass slightly and gives the bolt body more surface area to shed fouling, which matters when you’re running a bolt hard in wet or dusty conditions. An oversized bolt handle lets you cycle the action decisively while wearing gloves. The LBA trigger is user-adjustable across a pull-weight range, so you can tune it to your preference without a gunsmith visit.
The steel receiver carries a top-mounted Picatinny rail, and because no sights are included, the expectation is that you’ll mount an optic — the rail geometry makes that straightforward with standard rings. The MultiCam stock and Patriot Brown Cerakote finish on both the barrel and receiver are matched to work together aesthetically and provide corrosion resistance through weather exposure.
