Description
The Patriot Predator in TrueTimber Strata camo is built around a single premise: a bolt-action hunting rifle that works as hard in dense timber as it does across open country. The Strata pattern is designed for mixed woodland environments where broken lines and muted earth tones matter more than a single solid color, making it a practical choice for deer, elk, and bear hunters who move through varied terrain rather than one type of cover.
Chambering this rifle in 7mm PRC shapes how it performs downrange. The cartridge was designed from the outset for high-BC, heavy-for-caliber projectiles, and the 1:8″ twist rate is matched to that intent — it stabilizes the long, sleek 7mm bullets that make the round competitive at extended distances without requiring handloads or unusual component choices. Hunters who want to run 175-grain or heavier factory ammunition will find the twist rate does the work without them having to think about it.
The 24-inch barrel gives the 7mm PRC enough case volume to reach meaningful velocity before the gases exhaust, which matters with a cartridge that rewards barrel length. The barrel is also fluted, which removes material along the length to reduce weight without shortening the tube, and it carries a threaded muzzle with an 11-degree match crown — the crown geometry is cut to keep gases exiting uniformly around the bullet, protecting accuracy at the last point of contact. The threaded muzzle accommodates a suppressor or muzzle brake without the crown being compromised.
A Picatinny rail is machined directly into the receiver, so optic mounting is straightforward without separate base hardware. The LBA trigger is user-adjustable, allowing pull weight to be set without a gunsmith. The detachable box magazine holds three rounds and ships with the rifle.
