The Patriot Super Bantam is Mossberg’s answer to a recurring problem in bolt-action hunting rifles: a standard-length stock that fits few shooters out of the box. The Super Bantam’s adjustable length of pull addresses this directly, making the rifle genuinely usable for smaller-framed adults and younger hunters without requiring aftermarket work. It is chambered in .350 Legend, a straight-walled cartridge that was designed specifically to deliver meaningful terminal performance at moderate range while keeping recoil in a range that doesn’t discourage new or recoil-sensitive shooters.

The 1-in-16 twist rate is matched to the .350 Legend’s bullet weights — the cartridge was developed around projectiles in the 145–180 grain range, and this twist stabilizes them without over-spinning the lighter options commonly used for deer-sized game. Shooters selecting handloads or hunting ammunition should keep that window in mind; very heavy-for-caliber projectiles that might be available in .35-caliber exist outside the cartridge’s design intent and may not stabilize reliably at this twist.

The crossbolt safety is a straightforward mechanical block, easy to operate with cold or gloved hands in a hunting context. No sights are included from the factory, so a scope or red dot is required before the rifle can be used — the receiver will need appropriate bases and rings. The matte blued finish on the barrel keeps reflectivity low in field conditions. A single four-round box magazine is included, and the rifle is rated for a total capacity of four rounds plus one in the chamber.
